 Apple Crisp (9x13, Smitten Kitchen)


Crisp:

2# Braeburn apples, sliced

2T flour

1/4tsp cloves

3/4tsp Ceylon cinnamon

2T vanilla sugar


Topping:

113g butter, melted

65g vanilla sugar

65g brown sugar

80g oats

130g flour

4T sliced almonds


350°F for 45-60 minutes.

Needed more apples.


German Meatballs in Caper Cream Sauce (BH&G)

Meatballs:

1 egg

1/4c milk

1T dill

2tsp stoneground mustard

1/2tsp salt

1/4tsp pepper

1/2c dry bread crumbs

1# lean ground beef 


Cream Sauce:

2T butter

2T flour

2c milk

2T capers

1T caper juice


Spaetzle: 

3 eggs 

1c milk

420g flour

1/2tsp salt

1/4tsp nutmeg


Form meatballs and brown. Set aside. Make cream sauce, add meatballs and heat through. Serve with spaetzle.
