Lapper med Øl (Norwegian Flat Cakes with Beer, North Wild Kitchen, modified)

75g butter, melted
250dL beer (1c)(240g)
750dL buttermilk (3 1/4c)(100g buttermilk powder)
4 eggs
150g sugar
550g flour
1tsp soda

Got (34) 3"-4" cakes from half a batch. Used the 2T scoop.


Granary Loaf (Hovis)

500g granary flour
1 1/4tsp salt (2tsp kosher coarse)
55g unsalted butter (cut in--never done that for bread before)
1 1/2tsp fast acting yeast (5g instant)
275g water (290g--my hand slipped)

Added about 2T AP flour to the kneading (5 minutes in the KA). Shape, let rise til doubled. Bake at 450*F for 30-35 minutes.

Was overproofed, so quite flat. Tasted ok, needed more salt. Dan wants more flour.
